Surfs up? Check YOUR inner current
“There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune…” Most of us think life is about force—pushing, striving, controlling outcomes. But what if the real work is noticing the tide? There are moments when everything in you is aligned—your awareness is clear, your resistance is low, and the next step feels almost obvious. That’s the flood. Miss it, and we tend to loop—overthinking, forcing, tightening.Catch it, and things move with surprising ease. The invitation is simple Pay attention to your inner current. Not every moment is meant for action. But when the tide rises—that wave is for us!

Introduce myself
My name is Nurhidayati, but you can call me Nur. I’m originally from Indonesia, and I work as a spa therapist. I enjoy listening to music and connecting with many different people. I have a deep passion for learning new things, especially anything that helps me grow and become a better version of myself. Life has tested my patience in ways I never imagined. I’ve been through many challenges that shaped who I am today. Even when I feel I have done my best to be kind and good, there are still people who choose to misunderstand or dislike me. At this moment, I am also going through a difficult phase in my marriage. But now, I am choosing a new path. I want to change—not for others, but for myself. I want to learn how to truly love myself, to protect my peace, and to honor my own worth. I am learning that my value does not depend on how others treat me, but on how I treat myself. This is my journey of healing, growth, and self-love.

Your power and energy is yours
Intentional Meals
I had a sudden insight today on Raja Yoga group discussion and meditation today. Zach was discussing spiritual power and how whether we have intention to notice and apply it or not the energy of that reality for all humans is as natural as blinking one’s eyes. My mind wondered to how I “intentionally” place positive energy and love into the preparation of meals for my friends and family. I then considered that the unaware cooks and servers at my favorite restaurant are likely allowing the cares and concerns of “their” life to land in my meal. Perhaps this is why most religious traditions practice a blessing of the food. As we moved from lecture to meditation this thought expanded to the items in my pantry and refrigerator and the entire supply chain from planting, harvesting, packaging, shipping, and stocking shelves for our convenience. Many hands are involved. This not a threat to us—so much as it is an opportunity for us to be proactive as a spiritual community focused on expanded peace, harmony, and love. Perhaps if we add intention around even one meal per day—not just to being grateful for the food and that it be energetically balanced for the most benefit to our body…but a step further a blessing to the hands that touch it in the complete logistical journey to our plate. “May everyone who made my meal possible—and still unaware of the love available to them and within them be filled with joy as their burdens lift and their awakening begins.”
