#TipTuesday
Just had an amazing podcast interview and she asked me a few things regarding podcasting and YouTube...
#1 - She asked me if it was necessary to do audio AND video (having a podcast and a YouTube)
#2 - She also asked me about what was working strategy wise when it comes to both
Here's what I told her...
My answer to #1: Absolutely not. I am a huge proponent of only doing what you can sustain. I initially started podcasting because I loved the idea of audio only...I could show up at my pajamas behind my microphone and how intimate podcasting is. But I only started video and being on YouTube because I felt like I was ready. I was ready to embrace the tech issues and I did have a lot. I was ready to embrace what other people thought of me and I was ready to implement in my content. So no, it's not necessary at all... audio only can still win and so can being on both...if that's what you want to do and what feels right for you.
My answer to #2: I told her that for me, my entire framework is based on moving your podcast listener to become a buyer. This is where each episode should lead to the next best step for that episode or video. Sometimes that means doing really boring things and not straying away from that and knowing internally what phases your listener is going through.
