Are you discouraged because you posted in the Classifieds, got a couple of likes and no comments? Here are the secrets to successful posting:
- Most importantly, you need to comment on other people’s posts. Get noticed, make connections, find others who you have things in common with. And I’m not just talking about a couple of comments here and there - I’m talking about genuinely and consistently setting aside 5-10 minutes a day to interact with others. ⏰
2. Make your posts something that others want to read. Your headline is key and it has to hook the reader quickly. Then provide value (not a novel) or a story (again, not a novel) that is tied to your offer and how you help people. Do not just drop a link or post the same thing day after day. Appeal to your audience’s pain points or greatest desires. 📰
3. Post once a day, every day. People subconsciously get a sense for who you are and what you are about by seeing your headlines on a regular basis. Only after seeing you for 4-5 times in a row will they be interested enough to click. If you post once and then don’t post again for two weeks, you will be starting over from scratch. 🖇️
4. Scroll and check out other posts that have gotten several comments. What do they have in common? What is something they have done that you can emulate? Was it a captivating hook, a poll, a story, sharing expertise, etc? 👏
Finally, remember that when you post, you are appealing to three different audiences:
- the members of the group who may be interested in joining your community
- The network of the members in this group (their members, their family, and friends, etc)
- People on the internet at large. This group is public and can be seen by anyone who searches on the internet. 📢
I’ve seen people benefit hugely from being an active member of this community, and many people have actually attributed their initial success in Skool to the members they were able to find in this group. It is an amazing opportunity if you make the most of it and it is a wasted resource if you don’t. 😊
Cheering you on, as always! Shannon
