Nobody warns you about the grief you feel when you leave a country you loved. ✈️ You can become really good at packing boxes - although the sound of packing tape is still like nails on a chalk board to me! 😬
You learn how to handle the emotional turmoil that your children go through. And you are a woman on a mission to make the new place feel like "home" as quickly as possible. 💪
But every now and again it hits you - hard. You loved the last place. You had friends there. The school was good, the food was great and the weather was even better. ☀️
And even though you're looking forward to all that and maybe even more in your new location, a piece of your heart will always be somewhere else. 💔
Have you ever had to leave a place before you were ready? Or because you had to?
