What if I told you Anxiety doesn't have to be medicated? What if I told you that you don't have to see a therapist for Anxiety?
Sounds too good to be true. And I'm not saying those things are bad for you. By no means am I a doctor. What I am saying is that how people deal with Anxiety can be done with a different approach.
From my experience with Anxiety, I know it sucked to deal with. BUT, I found out that Anxiety is similar to some videogame mechanics. Here's why I see it like that:
- If you played racing games, it's like you are going the wrong direction and are losing the race.
- It's like trying to play Tetris for the first time, and not knowing how the pieces fit.
- If you played games like Skyrim, Anxiety is like having too many quests active.
- If you played the Dark Souls games, it's like not finding out what play style fits you best, or trying to beat the Boss without learning how it fights.
With all that being said, Anxiety is manageable. It doesn't have to overwhelm you. Maybe you just need to take some time, and figure out a game plan with whatever season in life you are currently in.
