More hours, more money… same problems
YES LADS!! Just wanted to send a quick one giving my take on the whole work more hours thing... it is a trap I was caught in for fucking years There was a time where I thought working more, earning more, and buying better clothes would fix how I felt I worked every hour of the day, every day of the week Thought the long hours, the new tee, the bigger paycheck… would somehow make me feel like I had it together.. never did haha In fact it probably done the opposite Was super unhappy, felt constantly drained, still hated what I saw in the mirror, still snapped at people for no reason Felt no more fulfilled despite extra cash hitting my account each month, in fact I felt lost, deflated. Truth is, most lads are trying to fix an internal problem with external stuff... -Food -Alcohol -Designer T shirts or trainers Honestly tho... a tired, overweight, stressed out man.. is still that… no matter what he’s wearing or driving What actually changed things for me? -Sorting my daily habits -Dialing in my food for energy and to fuel my fat loss -Training consistently to give me something to focus on instead of just working -Getting clear on what actually mattered (more time with my family.. feeling happy with what I looked like) This is when my energy shifted, I felt happier, healthier, had more confidence. So if you’re still stuck in that work–eat–repeat cycle… Still thinking one more pay-check or takeaway will solve the stress… TRUST ME.. from years of experience, these external things you think will solve your biggest life's problems.. Guys I was watching a YouTube video the other day and the guy was talking about success, making money and becoming the very best version of yourself you can possibly be.. and he said something that I thought was very relatable.. “You can’t polish a turd” It’s a saying I’ve heard many many times before but never taken any notice. But now I know.. The take home here is you can have all the money, work all the hours, wear all the nice clothes, have all the notes in your wallet But if on the inside you’re dying, you hate how you look, you wake up sluggish, tired and unmotivated every single day Are you really winning? Or is winning feeling like you’ve WON on the inside, not the outside? For me. Life is about confidence, memories and knowing I’m the most capable version of myself. Materialistic things make f*ck all difference if I’m unhappy on the inside FIX YOU BEFORE YOU TRY AND FIX ANYTHING ELSE

Are you still hiding under your hi-vis?
Was out walking the dog the other day…Saw a few lads working shirtless — sun beaming, hi-vis on, tanned up (they looked quite good to be fair to them) And it hit me... SUMMER IS HERE and SO IS SHIRT OFF SEASON Now for some of you, that’s exciting.But for a lot of you — it’s a f*cking nightmare. Still hating what you see in the mirror. Still begging your missus not to post the holiday photos. Still doing nothing about it. So here’s your wake-up call. You’ve got 8 weeks.8 weeks to take some ownership and start feeling proud of your body again. Here are 3 things to focus on right now: 1️⃣ Calories come first. Track your food. Subtract 200 from maintenance. Stick to it. Excuses like “I haven’t got time” are BS — cereal on a scale takes 4 seconds. If you want to use my calorie calculator you can do so by clicking here 2️⃣ Prioritise protein. 2.2g per kg of bodyweight. Simple. It keeps you full, helps retain muscle, and speeds up fat loss. 3️⃣ Move more.10k steps daily minimum. Add a 16-minute morning walk (8 out, 8 back). Train 3x/week — doesn’t matter what you do, just move your body. ⭐️ Bonus tip: Be structured in the week, flexible on weekends. Prep Mon–Fri. Track smartly on Sat/Sun. Enjoy life, don’t binge it. This stuff isn’t complicated. You’re just not doing it. Let’s get back in control before summer fully hits.
