Was out walking the dog the other day…Saw a few lads working shirtless — sun beaming, hi-vis on, tanned up (they looked quite good to be fair to them)
And it hit me... SUMMER IS HERE and SO IS SHIRT OFF SEASON
Now for some of you, that’s exciting.But for a lot of you — it’s a f*cking nightmare.
Still hating what you see in the mirror.
Still begging your missus not to post the holiday photos.
Still doing nothing about it.
So here’s your wake-up call.
You’ve got 8 weeks.8 weeks to take some ownership and start feeling proud of your body again.
Here are 3 things to focus on right now:
1️⃣ Calories come first.
Track your food. Subtract 200 from maintenance. Stick to it.
Excuses like “I haven’t got time” are BS — cereal on a scale takes 4 seconds.
2️⃣ Prioritise protein.
2.2g per kg of bodyweight.
Simple. It keeps you full, helps retain muscle, and speeds up fat loss.
3️⃣ Move more.10k steps daily minimum.
Add a 16-minute morning walk (8 out, 8 back).
Train 3x/week — doesn’t matter what you do, just move your body.
⭐️ Bonus tip:
Be structured in the week, flexible on weekends.
Prep Mon–Fri. Track smartly on Sat/Sun. Enjoy life, don’t binge it.
This stuff isn’t complicated. You’re just not doing it.
