Just wanted to send a quick one giving my take on the whole work more hours thing...
it is a trap I was caught in for fucking years
There was a time where I thought working more, earning more, and buying better clothes would fix how I felt I worked every hour of the day, every day of the week
Thought the long hours, the new tee, the bigger paycheck… would somehow make me feel like I had it together.. never did haha In fact it probably done the opposite
Was super unhappy, felt constantly drained, still hated what I saw in the mirror, still snapped at people for no reason
Felt no more fulfilled despite extra cash hitting my account each month, in fact I felt lost, deflated. Truth is, most lads are trying to fix an internal problem with external stuff...
-Food
-Alcohol
-Designer T shirts or trainers
Honestly tho... a tired, overweight, stressed out man.. is still that… no matter what he’s wearing or driving
What actually changed things for me?
-Sorting my daily habits
-Dialing in my food for energy and to fuel my fat loss
-Training consistently to give me something to focus on instead of just working
-Getting clear on what actually mattered (more time with my family.. feeling happy with what I looked like)
This is when my energy shifted, I felt happier, healthier, had more confidence.
So if you’re still stuck in that work–eat–repeat cycle… Still thinking one more pay-check or takeaway will solve the stress… TRUST ME.. from years of experience, these external things you think will solve your biggest life's problems.. THEY WONT!!
