🤔 What Is the Job of an Online Tutor… Really?
Most people think they know what an online tutor does. Teach a subject. Show up on Zoom. Explain things clearly. But is that actually the job? Take a moment and think about this 👇 Is an online tutor just someone who delivers information…or someone who designs an experience where learning actually sticks? Is the job about hours spent teaching…or outcomes created for the student? Is it about knowing the content…or about knowing the student? When a parent pays for online tutoring, what are they really buying? Time? Expertise? Confidence? Peace of mind? Structure? Results? And where does the tutor’s role begin and end? Is the job finished when the lesson ends? Or does it include systems, communication, follow-up, and progress tracking? Is an online tutor an employee…or a service provider…or a problem solver…or something else entirely? And here’s a bigger question 👀 If your tutoring business ran without you being “live” all the time, would the job look different? 💬 Your Turn: There’s no right or wrong answer here. - What do you believe the job of an online tutor is? - What parts of the role excite you? - What parts do you think most tutors underestimate? Drop your thoughts below 👇Let’s explore this together.
