Never do anything half hearted
Guys, many of you are just starting your tutoring business. I know lots of you are already full time teachers and have responsibilities. However, you can't assume you will be successful in the tutoring space by being half hearted. All businesses need your full/undivided attention for it to be a success. When I started my company 3 years ago, I built it with 1 purpose. GET ME OUT OF THE UK ASAP. It worked alhamdullahi. Why ? Because it had to work. I tried everything to get my business to replace my salary income and with the permission of ALLAH, it did work. Don't be afraid, Don't be shy and go above and beyond your clients. You will find one day, if you stick to it and focus, you will achieve your goals. What's the 1 thing your going to do this weekend to get your tutoring business a step closer to success ?? Leave a comment below ! lets discuss now

I like how you said "it had to work", I've noticed every time I wanted something in life I came with that mindset of 'forcing' it to work WHILE having trust in Allah. Ultimately when a desire is placed in your heart its important you take action especially if its going to help you build your dream life full of barakah. Great point!
Registering a tutoring business name. Advice needed.
Do I have to register my name as a sole trader? Do I register with HMRC even before I even started? How do you protect your tuition name?

@Zakeria Hassan Thank you! You know after coming with your online tuition name I will be creating a leaflet but I’m not sure if I should physically hand it out or promote on social media first. What do you think?

Risky
I got a new client who asked me to teach their year 11 child, 2 hours every week. I said okay, I took him through the enrolment process and they loved it (including a 30 minute free consultation). I sent him an invoice for the whole month. He said he can't pay it all upfront. He will pay it on Monday on a weekly bases. Monday comes, the student is ready but the father has not paid. You messaged and called him but he does not pick up. It is possible the father forgot and will pay on Tuesday. What would you do and why? Vote and leave a comment !!!

Reschedule because number 1 time is money! You can find a different student willing to pay on time and take it professionally and seriously. Rather than someone whose parents are not consistent. How do they expect you as the tutor to be consistent?
Guys, I just cut 3 hours from my work schedule whilst making the same amount of money
Basically, I was cut 3 hours a week from my week by cancelling a 2 different group class. How ? I merged two different groups whilst keeping the price the same. The group classes still fell below the maximum 5 students which is good. The other 2 hours I promoted as free but unfortunately the take up wasn’t as I expected so I decided to stop doing 2 hours and start doing 1. Moved a few students around and that’s it. Try this in your business 👍

Great move!
Anyone Taken Time Off to Build Their Tutoring Business?
“Asalamu Alaykum everyone, I’d love some advice from those who have scaled their tutoring business.I’m currently in a position where I’m considering taking 6 months off from full-time work (after my PGCE) to focus fully on building my tutoring income and systems. For those who’ve done something similar:– Is taking a 6-month period to focus solely on scaling realistic?– Did stepping away from full-time work help you grow faster?– Any mistakes or tips you’d share? I want to make a strategic decision, so any insights would be hugely appreciated.

@Muna Muhidin Thank you so much! I completely agree with you. I don't think I have heavy financial commitments so you're right it is the best time to take those risks. I appreciate that.
