Never do anything half hearted
Guys, many of you are just starting your tutoring business. I know lots of you are already full time teachers and have responsibilities. However, you can't assume you will be successful in the tutoring space by being half hearted. All businesses need your full/undivided attention for it to be a success. When I started my company 3 years ago, I built it with 1 purpose. GET ME OUT OF THE UK ASAP. It worked alhamdullahi. Why ? Because it had to work. I tried everything to get my business to replace my salary income and with the permission of ALLAH, it did work. Don't be afraid, Don't be shy and go above and beyond your clients. You will find one day, if you stick to it and focus, you will achieve your goals. What's the 1 thing your going to do this weekend to get your tutoring business a step closer to success ?? Registering a tutoring business name. Advice needed.
Do I have to register my name as a sole trader? Do I register with HMRC even before I even started? How do you protect your tuition name?
Hours
How many hours a day do u guys work , what hours specifically too?
Risky
I got a new client who asked me to teach their year 11 child, 2 hours every week. I said okay, I took him through the enrolment process and they loved it (including a 30 minute free consultation). I sent him an invoice for the whole month. He said he can't pay it all upfront. He will pay it on Monday on a weekly bases. Monday comes, the student is ready but the father has not paid. You messaged and called him but he does not pick up. It is possible the father forgot and will pay on Tuesday. What would you do and why? Vote and leave a comment !!!
