Hi, my name is Ammaar. I’m a recent engineering graduate. Throughout my time at university, I worked as a one-to-one, in-person tutor, mainly teaching GCSE Maths (can teach other subjects too but I enjoy maths). I really enjoyed helping students build confidence and finally understand topics they previously struggled with.
Now that I’ve graduated, I am trying to transition into online tutoring. I want to work more flexibly and have better reach for students but I am struggling to find students also.
My goal is to reach minimum £500 per month from online tutoring, bi-idhnillah. I currently work full time too hence want to be more realistic with my goal. I see this as something I can grow steadily while continuing to improve my teaching style online and provide real value to students. I also want to make better use of tools like my Wacom tablet to explain concepts visually.
Outside of teaching and work, I enjoy badminton. I have made lots of friends by inviting brothers from my masjid, uni and work to play together a few times a week. I also like problem-solving in general which is probably why engineering and maths suited me so well!
