Growing up as a young archer/bowhunter these were my inspiration every day I walked into my Fathers shop- both knapped by himself and examples of late to middle woodland points from Ontario. 🏹
His shop was and is still filled with bows and arrows ranging from early to late Howard Hill/Shultz American Longbows/English war bows, browning recurves, Wilson bros Black Widow recurves/and many others..the smell of Port Orford cedar was always in the air as well as his current project on the bench- a new Flemish twist string on his jig or an arrow building project.
It was the place to be for me as a kid and inspired my imagination of stalking whitetails on overcast cold October days... these points were my inspiration and still are serving as the foundation for The Ethical Predator movement and the connection to past Hunter Gatherers in all of us- and the challenge that process brings!
What was or is your inspiration to find traditional archery!? Cheers! -Grant
