Just finished the podcast with @Kelsey Holts very cool. Hearing you guys talk about bear hunting gave me another thing to watch for, the shadows. That was an interesting point. This is why I like this kind of community, I can pick up all kind of good stuff here and there. Can't wait to hear the next one

My giveaway quiver
So I somehow won a monthly giveaway here a few months ago, if you guys remember the prize was a handmade quiver built by Mr. Richardson. My favorite game animal is bears, and this quiver funnily enough is bear themed with a matching armgaurd. If you saw the pictures back then you know its beautiful but I promise you the pictures dont quite capture it. Especially the fit. It fits me like a glove, I couldnt be happier with it. My biggest issue with back quivers in the past has been how much my 32 inch arrows stick out 🙄 trees tend to pull them out for me. But not this one, I tried. It's much deeper than my bear archery back quiver. Any way enjoy the pictures from the range! Don't mind the carbons in the bow quiver, just there for the weight.

Podcast
Finally getting caught up again on the podcast. Just finished the episode with @John Cazenove , I think my favorite point he made was about people stretching the distance on their equipment. When he said to be a better hunter doesn't mean you have to be a bowhunter, you could just try to get closer even with a rifle. I think thats great advice. Very cool to hear about people in a very different place doing a very similar thing.

I owe the ash an apology
So when I built these arrows, I specifically said the grain wasn't good enough to hunt stumps. I need to correct that statement. Yes the grain was absolutely terrible on some of them, but the toughness is incredible. Once I had them trained to stay straight and my painting was done, I figured stumping was the only logical use for what would be a short lived experiment. I was wrong. They bareshafted a bit weak but I can't cut them shorter so I ran five inch feathers. They fly awesome out of my montana, I can switch between the montana and my hunting bow without missing a beat. I put judos on and I've hit some incredibly hard stumps so far, glanced off a rock, and shot three trees while trying to do "thread the needle" shots. There is 0% damage to any of them. I am shooting these recklessly and with no care but I think they may just continue to blow my mind. I know @Ken Borst you were thinking of trying them, id say if you want to, do it. Make sure to weigh and spine them yourself, but they're tough. Even just cutting a quarter inch of the point taper with my knife was a huge chore, they're hard. My only complaint left, was I had no weight choice so they're very heavy. They're 730 grains all done so I only get 148fps with them but they're sure performing well.
