Couple questions
1. Looking for exercises to keep/get the bow muscles strong and flexible. Have been losing weight to be healthier and looking for home dumbbell workout to tone up. Appreciate any suggestions 2. My wife has had 3 failed shoulder surgeries. She is getting by with physical therapy once a week to keep her shoulder mobile. She expressed interest in shooting a recurve. Looking for training for her shoulder issue that may help with range of motion if that is even possible? Also, recurve recommendation for her. She is 5’ 1”. Thank you

DIY Board Bow for my Granddaughter
My 18 month old granddaughter is attached to my hip(I love it to no end). Whatever Papa is doing, Brae has to be doing. We started watching YouTube deer hunting videos when she was about a year old. Now anytime she sees a deer, no matter where we are, she says “Bowww!” Her version of POW. Decided I would try to make her first bow out of an oak board. I took the straightest grain oak board I had and ripped it 1 1/4” wide. Cut it 36” long and cut a 6” pc for the handle. It’s very cold right now in NH, so I brought it inside to glue it up. My little helper wanted to be part of it, so she helped with the tape measure. LOL. She has been a blessing in our lives. She has given me the motivation to get healthier so I can be here for her as long as possible. I am the only male role model in her life, so I want to be the best I can for her and my family. Tomorrow I will back the bow with some fiberglass tape. I will post as I go. Thanks for looking.

The glue has dried enough to trim the excess fiberglass tape. I have laid out my cuts for the bandsaw tomorrow morning. The handle area is small, but it is for an almost 2 year old. I’ll let the glue fully cure tonight and continue tomorrow.

This morning I braved the below zero temperatures and unheated garage and cut out the shape of this little bow. Used the belt sander to smooth it up and getting it to start to bend. Came inside and cut string notches. Going to have to warm up a bit before I can continue. It’s now ready for tillering.
