SOTD: Unicorn by Aaron Terrance Hughes

Good Friday morning to the Fragrance Family. Chicago is reminding us it’s truly winter again, with temperatures back down in the teens and those brutal subzero wind chills cutting right through you. It definitely feels like the deep freeze has returned just in time for the weekend before Christmas. Whether you’re finishing last minute shopping, laying low, or simply counting down to some well deserved time off, stay warm and stay scented as we push toward the holiday stretch.

Today’s scent is a first wear, first impression of Unicorn by Aaron Terence Hughes, and right out of the gate it makes its presence known. This one opens boldly and confidently, immediately announcing itself with strong projection and noticeable sillage that creates a solid aura around you. It has that signature ATH intensity and polish that feels modern and energetic, yet still refined enough to wear confidently even in cold weather. On skin so far it feels vibrant and expressive, the kind of fragrance that keeps you checking back in as it develops. Performance is already showing promise, and while I need a full wear to really judge its depth and evolution, the early signs are very encouraging. Initial rating for now sits at an 8.0, pending a full wear to see how it truly unfolds over time. Huge thanks to Paul Bartnicki for the decant and the opportunity to spend time with this one.
