11:56 AM – First Spray
Today’s scent of the day is Mystery Saffron by Superz Budapest.
Right off the spray I’m getting saffron immediately. I’m a fan of saffron and this one is smooth. The saffron mixed with the iris gives it a balanced sweetness with a borderline gourmand vibe. It’s creamy. Slightly powdery. Very put together from the start.
Projection feels strong in the opening. Nice scent bubble around me.
12:28 PM – 30 Minutes In
The saffron is still there but now I’m getting a slight tartness. That has to be the black currant. It’s adding a little sour fruity edge which keeps this from becoming too sweet.
I’m not really picking up much cardamom. Sandalwood is starting to smooth things out underneath. Still very pleasant.
1:58 PM – 2 Hours In
Now the saffron has toned down. I’m getting more tonka and vanilla coming forward. The sandalwood is giving that creamy texture. Sweetness is more rounded now.
Still getting some air around me. Not loud, but definitely present.
5:21 PM – 5 Hours In (Drydown)
We’re fully into the drydown now. Sweet tonka, soft musk, slight cinnamon warmth. It’s definitely a skin scent at this point.
Very smooth. Very wearable. Nothing offensive at all.
All in all, it’s good — but not groundbreaking. For the price range, I’m not sure it’s full bottle worthy for me. Pleasant experience though.
