Hello all! My name is Fred, and I'm a 35 year old husband father of 3 kids (aged 2 and under). I grew up in Pickering, Ontario (30-40 mins East of Toronto), and that's what I think about, when I get asked "where are you from?". However, I currently live in a small town, one hour East of Timmins, called Iroquois Falls. I just started a career job as a Correctional Officer, (been at it for almost 2 months now), and this is my second career change, all in the hopes of making more money to feed my family. And that is the why, behind me wanting to be a part of communities like this. It is to be able to take care of my loved ones, and live the life style I want to live. One of the things I can contribute to the group is, that I am a people person, with an entrepreneurial spirit (I love the challenge and the thrill of making a deal), and that as I gain more knowledge, I am someone who is happy to share, what I know, in order to help others. One of the biggest traits I also have is that I love to learn, from other people, books, and different forms of media. Hey Everyone, excited to be a part of this group, learn from you all and offer advice when I can. I was in the trades from 18yrs old til basically the pandemic. From there, I decided I wanted to help fellow trades people with the advice I wish I had gotten earlier on, with things like insurance, income protection, benefits for my guys that don't eat at profits, and retirement planning. All the stuff we don't think about, or put off thinking about until we're forced to. I'm always down for a conversation, love to learn about others and their businesses.
