Confusion with classifying balanced plates
I’ve noticed that there seems to be some confusion with classifying carbs, protein, fats, and color.
Perhaps you’re not sure if an avocado is considered a color or fat? Maybe you’re questioning if beans are a carb or a protein source?
When people say they want to eat more balanced, it’s hard to do so when you don’t know what exactly foods offer us 😩
This is why I added extra bonus points for this month’s challenge to classify your plate and share what exactly is giving you carbs, protein, fats, and color. (You all have been doing so great with this!! But I know you can do better and be more confident with it! ❤️)
Being able to distinguish food is an important skill to have!! I have a whole list of what food is considered carbs, fats, protein, and color in the classroom section > free resources and guides > in my Blueprint to Balance starting on page 9! Look to this resource, print it out, and use it whenever you need it!
