Ate without going overboard
Just wanted to share a high for me.
This weekend I hosted an old friend from undergrad along with her husband and 1 year old son (the cutest little nugget!) In the past I would take hosting or a special occasion as an excuse to pig out, and I'm so grateful now to be in a place where I am able to still enjoy the food but not to a point of stuffing myself until I'm bloated, sick, or about to explode. Not saying I don't overeat sometimes, but it rarely ever gets to 'that' point anymore.
We ate pumpkin pecan croissants, matcha lattes, but also enjoyed a homemade veggie and fiber packed chili. It was a realistic and healthy balance for me because I chose foods that I love, added nutrition where I could, and listened to my hunger cues closely for my perfect portions.
Just reminiscing and feeling grateful for the growth and healing (and this community for having a place to share this little sappy moment) ❤️
