Breathe into Safety
In this moment, your mind might be racing with thoughts, worries, or a long to-do list. That is okay. Our minds are built to protect us by analyzing everything.
But sometimes, the kindest thing we can do for our nervous system is to gently shift our attention downward. Away from the noise of the mind, and into the quiet wisdom of the body.
Your body knows how to find its way back to safety. It doesn’t need a complicated plan; it just needs a little bit of room to breathe.
If it feels safe to do so, try taking one slow, gentle breath. Let your shoulders drop just a fraction. You don’t have to fix anything or change anything right now. You just have to exist here, in this breath.
Take a pause. Listen to what your body is asking for. Maybe it needs a stretch, a sip of water, or simply permission to rest. Trust that rhythm.
You are safe in this moment. 🤍
