Time for action!

It’s been a couple of busy weeks so apologies for not sharing progress to date, I always think it’s good to share cos it helps to build community and many of us are in the same boat so who knows it could help later on down the line ❤️

Unfortunately we had to bail from our bootcamp after day one due to unfortunate illness but we are back in 2 weeks time, so a BIG thanks to the AFL team for their support and understanding. We can’t wait to get stuck in

Here’s our action list so far and some costs - there are free versions of some of this stuff to start with but we opted for paid versions after the tree trials cos we wanted some of the full functionality so here goes⬇️

✅ Business Name agreed - Yay! 😅

✅ E mails sorted - £100 on Go Daddy - decided on a 2 year package cos it was on offer with a 48% discount for Donain, Donain Guard & 365 e mail. E mails set up with logo signatures, they look great.👍

✅ Website holding page comes as part of GoDaddy so it’s a great option - we gonna hold off page set up yet cos we need to get loads of other stuff done but it will develop in due course 😉

✅ Company Set Up - very easy process £50 💥

✅ Business telephone number set up. Opted for £6.99 monthly option with Virtual Landline to get started with https://www.virtuallandline.co.uk/ cos we don’t want the full telephony services yet offered by others and their Monty costs started at around £10-£16. You can port the number over to other providers if need be later on down the line- excuse the joke🤣

✅ Logo etc done and just designing business cards - Did it all through Looka https://looka.com/logo-maker/ £80 for the year with a whole suite of brand material that can be designed and customised that’s all at your fingertips. We liked that so opted for the full Brand Kit. You don’t need that, there is a free version of you need to just get started. Opted not for Fiverr cos used them before and it can be a bit of a pain going backward and forward with them but this way we get a whole load of other branded stuff thrown in.

✅ We are gonna use a combo of physical business cards and digital ones cos we want to be kind on the environment while trying something innovative in line with the new brand - they look great £50 for the year with multiple changes and designs https://popl.co/ and they integrate with CRM data!

✅ Business bank account set up. We needed company to be live for 4 Days but we decided for Lloyds in the end cos they throw in free accounting software and £8.50 monthly fee waived for first year. If we hadn’t done Lloyds then Tide would have been the next best one which is Instant.

✅ LinkedIn - in the past I would have spent hours crafting copy but thank god for AI cos it did some amazing wording for us. Decided to set up as a business page from our main page instead of a group or a seperate entity that way its linked to us personally. Nothing posted yet it’s just sat there ready to go.

✅ Son in law has just started out so we visited his new HMO and Flip - great to pick his brains and see them in various stages.

✅ Hooking up with a developer Friday who we met at the PIN meet last month for the 2nd time - we going for a look round his project and have a coffee!

✅ Another coffee tomorrow with 2 contacts from the PIN also to go through power team and strategy. Can’t wait cos that may get some awesome leads

✅ Thought we would use some platforms to get into sourcing. Try Property Data and Property Filter, both come with 14 day free trials my view is pick the ones that fit intuitively with you cos they can be quite different.

✅ Got a valuer in for our own house cos u never know we may need the equity. Good process to build local contact and get in on some agency gossip!

TAKE A BREATH!!!

Our aim is that by next week we can hit the streets with our 60 second elevator pitch & crystal clarity on strategy. More meetings to line up to keep the relationships warm and more of the tangible stuff to do like insurances, memberships and getting the next level of people in the power team
