One conversation can change your direction.
Looking back, the biggest breakthroughs in my journey didn't come from another course, another strategy, or working longer hours. They came from the right conversations. Mortgage on a part residential and two flats
Hi @Liam J Ryan and AFL community. Question…Can anyone advise on how a mortgage is worked out on a property that is a 3-bed house with two flats attached to the side? My daughter and her partner are both self employed (so not ideal when looking for a mortgage). They rent currently for £1500 the 3 bed house, while the 2 flats attached to the side, one upstairs and one down, are both rented out. Income from ground floor is approx £800 pcm and upstairs flat £650. The owners are looking to sell the whole lot and my daughter and partner are interested in the idea of purchasing the whole lot. It’s not available as a split, and they wouldn’t want it without the 2 flats. How would this be viewed for a mortgage? And what should they do as first steps!? Any advice welcome or any commercial brokers AFL use would be useful Thanks Nis
