MONDAY MINDSET
I'm sure, like me, many of us have stress in our lives. Work, business, relationships, etc. I thought stress came from the situation, the deadlines, the pressure, the uncertainty.
Some believe stress isn’t caused by what’s happening, it’s caused by how we think about what’s happening.
We all face things we can’t control. That’s where I used to get the most stressed, replaying the same worries, going down the "what if?" scenarios, burning energy on problems I can’t change.
When this starts to happen I try and catch my thoughts and remind myself that I can't control everything. I can, however, do everything I possibly can to influence a situation but I need to accept there are things I can't control.
Life happens for a reason.
So here’s the rules I try and live by now:
Control what you can.
Let go of what you can’t.
Refocus my energy on the next constructive step.
That mindset doesn’t remove challenges, it removes unnecessary stress.
👉 Today, ask yourself: what can I release that I’ve been trying to control?
