Hi Everyone, I hope that your day is going well. I am happy to be part of the Assets for Life Community Group and get to know you all. I have always loved property but due to life circumstances, I was never able to buy the home of my dreams so this is an opportunity to get in to the different aspects of property and help the homeless children as I have always wanted to do, as I was once one of them. But saying this, I have been on the otherside of property for nearly 30 years as an Information Document Controller/ Liason Officer/ Receptionist and Secretary working in engineering, construction and architectural industries. Although I had been writing books for over 12 years, I published my first book after Covid-19 lockdown had just ended, but so when I was made redundant at 60 years old (3 years ago) and I was looking after my elderly mother who died of dementia before Christmas last year 2025, things have been difficult but I have always followed Asset For Life, dreaming of getting into working in property. Looking after my mum and my daugther also being ill plus looking after the grandchildren took up all my resources and time. I am a single parent mother and grandmother who is still trying to pursue her dream. I am now coming up to retirement and would love to invest in property to acquire an extra income with my pension. So, this is my question? Can someone like me still be able to purchase, let or sale properties with no money down and in debt plus living on benefits? Due to ill health, I can no longer work a 9 to 5 job and I am hoping to retire at 67 years old, good health permitting. I was homeless at 19 years old and have lived on my own while bringing up my daugther who is now 38 years old and lives with her partner and children. I have never married or lived with a partner. So is it possible? And if so, where do I begin?
