I’ll post the rehab sequence I do for hurt knees which includes an eccentric and backwards pulling combo.
Eccentric exercises drive more blood flow to tendons than traditional concentric protocols… (eccentric is when you lengthen the muscle under tension… like a slow lowering squat).
