If you’ve had a dog with a grass seed - where did it happen? Ears? Feet? Somewhere surprising??
Yup. It’s grass seed season.
Literally doing this once a day rn, sometimes more.
This lovely, stoic dog barely flinched- but most dogs need sedation for this, especially when the seed goes in their feet.
Who’s most at risk: dogs with hair around their ears and feet (*spaniels*) and who go into the long grass this time of year.
The prevention: special ear covers, boots or just clip the hair between toes and at the entrance of the ear.
Not guaranteed, but helps your chances of avoiding the pain and $500 vet bill. 😎
