Forest Bathing with Your Dog The idea is simple: slow the walk right down and experience the forest through your senses — together. Instead of trying to cover distance, spend 20–30 minutes exploring slowly. The challenge: - 🌿 Find a woodland, forest or tree-filled walking route - 🐕 Leave the pressure to “get somewhere” behind - 👃 Notice what your dog is sniffing and investigating - 👂 Pause and listen to the birds, leaves and sounds around you - 👀 Stop and take in the trees, light and surroundings - 🖐️ If appropriate, touch the bark, leaves or moss and notice the textures - 😮💨 Take a few slow breaths and simply be present with your dog The fun part: At some point during the walk, stop for 2 minutes and do absolutely nothing. Let your dog sniff, sit or wander around you while you both just take in the environment.
