🌱 Do you want to know my secret to saving lots of $ on groceries while buying loads of fresh, non-GMO or sprayed produce? 🌽🍅
Our family has been part of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for nearly 10 years—and it's hands-down one of the best food decisions we've ever made.
We do a full share with Miller's Farm here in Colorado (worth the drive!). For about 20 weeks, we get to handpick fresh produce every week—and it’s amazing. I split our share with my wonderful friend , so we each get a full bushel. If we're out of town, we can double up the next time. Win-win.
Some of the bounty we’ve brought home:🍈 melons, 🥬 lettuce, 🥔 potatoes, 🧄 garlic, 🍅 tomatoes, 🌽 corn, 🌶️ green chile, 🥦 broccoli, 🥒 cucumbers, 🥕 carrots, 🧅 onions, 🍠 winter squash, 🌿 basil & dill…even Brussels sprouts, bell peppers, radishes, chile, and cabbage for the adventurous eaters!
Plus, they include two adult tickets to visit the farm in the fall—which my kids love. They get to help harvest, and we prep the extras to store, freeze, dehydrate, or can. It's real food, real savings, and a hands-on connection to the earth.
For those local we love this one but there are many options around the country:
Now’s the time many farms open signups—so I’d love to hear: Do you have a favorite local farm or CSA you support?Let’s swap ideas and keep supporting the folks stewarding our land and feeding our families. 💚
