Last night, I watched this video below of Dr. Alok Kanojia and I couldn’t get it out of my head all day. In the video, he defines Urge Surfing as the tendency for the desire around something to subside as time goes on. ⚠️Warning: he uses a lewd reference example toward the end of the video. I’ve been trying it all day and it worked surprisingly well. I did, however, notice that I had a lot harder of a time “riding the wave”/waiting out the desire toward the end of the night. I was exhausted after a long day, my will power was shot. Therefore, indulgences were had. 😅 What about you? What are your go-to tools/mindsets to quiet your impulses?
