A true story of AIโ€˜s deteriorating effect on quality ๐Ÿ‘Ž
I have a client who I do email marketing for. An e-commerce business here in Germany.
They used to have a freelance designer who helped with their marketing.
Once the business owner became aware of Nano Banana he decided he does not need the designers services any longer. This has two effects:
  • He is saving costs, yes.
  • But the quality of his designs has noticeably suffered.
And this is something I see a lot. With designs, with copy, probably with code coming next. A race to the bottom in terms of quality by using AI in an effort to reduce costs.
Will it be worth it for the business? Hard to tell. Maybe we will see two kinds of businesses, one with low quality, somewhat exchangeable outputs. And then on the other hand premium brands with high quality human made content.
