Three months ago we set out to build something ambitious: an AI platform that helps ordinary Ugandan citizens access justice in their language. This past week, our team in Kampala merged the platform into production. What is now live: - A multi-agent legal assistant that conducts a structured interview, transcribes voice, scores legal urgency and severity, and produces a case report - Full coverage in English, Luganda and Swahili - with the voice and language pipeline built natively, not as an afterthought translation - Mobile-first design with voice recording and audio playback, because most of our future users will reach the platform on a phone, not a laptop - Real instrumentation: latency, cost, accuracy and fallback metrics on every interaction, so we can see what is working before our users have to tell us What I am most proud of is not the code. It is what happened when one team member fell ill mid-sprint. The rest of the team picked up the work without missing a beat. No drama, no waiting for permission, no escalation to me. That is what team maturity looks like, and it is rare. The next phase is no longer engineering. It is validation. Over the next two weeks we run structured testing first internally, then with real Ugandan citizens, police officers, legal aid officers and lawyers. Their feedback will shape the platform more than any technical decision we make. Justice. Accessible. That is the goal. We are getting closer. Plexaris - AI for purpose, not just for profit.

Remote Team Lost 21% Productivity Searching for Documents Nobody Could Find 🔥
Software company fully remote since 2020 pandemic shift. Comprehensive productivity audit revealed disturbing number: 21.3% of total work time lost to document chaos and searching. That's 8.5 hours weekly per employee spent searching for files that definitely existed somewhere in the system. Across 42 employees company-wide: 318 hours weekly completely wasted on searching rather than working. Annual productivity impact: 8,268 hours at $52/hour average fully loaded cost = $430,000 in pure wasted capacity. Pre-pandemic office environment effectively hid this systemic problem. "Where's the Johnson proposal document?" = 2-minute walk to colleague's desk, quick conversation, problem instantly solved. Post-pandemic distributed remote work: Same question = Slack message sent, wait 20 minutes hoping for response, colleague responds "I think Sarah might have it," send another message to Sarah, wait longer, eventually maybe finding it or completely giving up. Documents were chaotically scattered everywhere: Google Drive (60% of files), Dropbox (25%), Slack uploaded files (10%), email attachments (5%). Zero coordination or consistent system. Nobody in organization knew which platform reliably stored which document categories. Standard search strategy: Check Google Drive first, then try Dropbox, then ask desperately in Slack channels, finally search through old email archives as last resort. Average single search attempt: 6.7 minutes of frustration. Failed searches were common: 12% of searches never successfully found the needed document. 8% of work got completely recreated because finding original seemed impossible within reasonable time. Mobile document access was particularly frustrating nightmare. Different apps, completely different interfaces, inconsistent search capabilities. 68% of employees regularly accessed documents on mobile devices but frequently gave up when couldn't find things quickly on phone. Serious security incident emerged: Employee shared confidential client document from personal Dropbox account. Client questioned: "Why is our confidential proprietary information stored on personal cloud storage?"
