What A players don't want you to know about appointment setting….
There is a difference between a Transactional appointment set and a relationship-driven appointment set.
Transactional setting makes your prospects feel like a number…
Generalised sms reminders (if any), no mention of the prospects name or application etc…
Relationship-driven appointment sets are met with ‘speed to lead’.
If someone books you reply within the first 10 minutes.
You text them by name, acknowledge their application, confirm the time they booked (IN THERE TIMEZONE) and most importantly put a face to the name (you. the rep)…
How do you do this??
It's simple but powerful….
A 30 second video introduction.
When prospects receive personalised video introductions, a few powerful things happen:
1. Trust is accelerated – People buy from people, not just offers. When they see your face, hear your tone, and feel your energy, it humanises the process. You’re no longer a stranger on the other side of a Zoom link.
2. Commitment increases – If you’ve taken the time to make a short video just for them, they’re far less likely to ghost you. It feels like there’s already a small bond formed.
3. Differentiation is clear – Most people rely on text confirmations or generic reminders. A personalised video immediately signals this isn’t the average sales/coaching call. You’re willing to do what others won’t.
4. Pre-framing happens naturally – In the video, you can subtly establish authority and flow:
“I saw your application and really liked what you mentioned about XYZ…thats what we’re looking for.” Set the frame (we want people who are committed, risk averse etc)
5. It demonstrates care + tenacity – If you show you’ve actually looked at their application, it proves you don’t just see them as a number. That in itself lowers walls and turns warm leads into burning hot ones.
