Debut Trail Run
Completed my first trail event today, not going to lie, that was hard going! It was wet and muddy (news today said this January Madrid's rainfall has been 300% of the usual), I fell over at km16, and the last 3km were an effort. Per the screenshot in the days before I had a bout of diarrhoea and sickness, and I feel shattered now. Got it ticked off though and calling that a win👌

🥳🥳CLIENT SHOUT OUT🥳🥳
Massive shout out to @Alisom Savic to completing a year on the program And amazing progress along the way, not only in physical but also adaptability (food with socials and holidays) and knowledge When Alison joined we had to start with just mobility and stretching, now she is regulary lifting weights And just feels better all round Plus has achieved the weight she likes to be at, and keeps it there even with holidays, Christmas and Serbian celebrations (which always involves plenty of amazing food) Amazing work so far Alison
Pulling up to new goals...
For weeks and weeks, I had a chin up/pull up in my workout routine set by @James Pace but something about doing them in the gym, in front of everyone, and expecting myself to look a fool meant I avoided it and kept chickening out. In my most recent check in, James gave me the push I needed to give it a go. Just 3 simple pull ups. And I'm so glad a d thankful he did! My next session, I just sucked it up and did it, not great form, but still, I managed to suprise myself even as to how much I could lift. The first step. A couple weeks later, I've been doing a set of three every session, slowly building that strength, but crucially that confidence to try it too. Today I managed TWO sets of three, I was a shaky mess at the end and my form isn't perfect yet. But it's literally 100% more than I was doing a fornight ago. Small wins physically, big mental gains! Today's attempt video attached below as proof to myself of how far I'm coming!
