I used to spend a great deal of time putting my nose through seemingly interesting articles only to find they were excellent clickbait.
And even more so in Youtube videos that have managed to turn clickbait into an specialization.
But everything change when I discovered this little feature in Brave Browser (Privacy optimized Chrome based browser) which is called "Leo AI".
You can pop open at any page and summarize or extract information that you need without having to read the whole thing, just two clicks and you get a short but valuable summary!
It even works on youtube videos, I don't have to go to shady sites to extract the raw transcript (Unless I want to get the raw output to process it into a quick guide, sop, reference doc, which I do often).
The only thing is that it uses a small LLama model (META) but is good enough to serve it's purpose.
On the other hand, There's perplexity Comet, the first Agentic Browser to hit the market, I've added two captures of summarization of the very same article with Brave's Leo AI and Perplexity's Comet side by side, just simple "Summarize this page" prompts, but the result it's massively different.
TL;DR: Comet is much more detailed, mostly because of Perplexity having a more capable fine-tuned model.
