Hip arthroscopy
Hi all! Has anyone had this procedure done? and if so how was your return to gymnastics? Iโ€™ve decided to go ahead and have it done in October. Really hoping it will help with my quite active hip pain on Roundoff/ cartwheel, straddle positions. Itโ€™s really been limited my since taking up gymnastics a few years back.

hi Nicki - I can't compare to how it helped with gymnastics, but I had this done a while back and it definitely helped my hip pain (I was doing a lot of yoga at the time). Post op, I recommend finding a solid PT who understands gymnastics. And do a lot of glute strengthening exercises leading up to surgery if you're not already. Good luck!!
