Book sales are fun ... but making a few bucks per sale isn't as exciting as using the book to lead to bigger things!! I broke some ideas down for you in the video this week.

I submitted my Copyright office application today, as well as my Library of Congress app (for LCCN), and also "assigned" my ISBNs in my Bowker account... 🛬 Had those on the "near publication" part of my pre-launch plan for months, and now was the time! It's great checking off so many items on my list as I near the end of "pre-publication" and approach actual "publication"! So exciting! 😊 It's been really great having y'all on this journey with me. We've got a pretty special community here, @Julie Broad ! Thanks for creating this space for us authors to connect and help each other out! 🫶

Along the same lines as before, which type of YT videos does everyone think an author should produce to promote books and other stuff they are looking to market. Should the YT faceless video focus on images and charts etc, or focus on the author themselves? What does everyone think?

How many folks here make their own video content to boost or promote their books or podcasts using organic social media marketing?

Trying to choose author photo for upcoming book and would like the help of the community. Three choices below. (Two dog pics very similar, but different facial expression, serious vs playful; book is fairly serious, so not sure what is the right look.
