How long between drinks?
If you're an early morning coffee drinker like I am, what is your optimal time between drinks? Is it one or two hits in quick succession? or A short time between drinks? or A long time between drinks? What's your routine?

I usually have 2-3 cups within the first few hours of the day. I'm sipping on coffee as I get ready, as I walk the dog, and on my commute to work. At work, I'm constantly sipping on coffee for testing, quality control, and for the pure joy of it. By the end of the day, I've probably consumed 5-6 cups on average.

Cafe mood!
Usually I brew at home. At least until a few years ago I didn't even have access to good cafes which serve the kind of coffee I like. But of late I do enjoy sitting quietly with a nice filter and a book in a corner of a cafe. Later I'll chase it down with an espresso shot and maybe a yummy pastry. I tried that on a weekday when work was slow. It was a quietly decadent experience. I'm afraid I might be getting latched on to the cafe moods! If you saw this sign in the window of a coffee shop, are you walking in, or walking past? Personally, I'm walking in.

coffee is amazing! I love the care and attention that goes into every step, from sourcing the beans to the brewing process. The variety of flavors and aromas is just incredible. It's amazing how much difference there is in the taste depending on the origin, roast, and brewing method. What's your favorite way to enjoy it? Let me know on the comments ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿคญ

My favorite origin is Guatemala, light to medium roast. I gravitate towards more chocolatey, medium body coffees. My preferred brewer is the Hario Switch. But like @Luke Gilbert said exploring the world of coffee is great. Some of the most memorable coffees I've tasted come from Africa, I've had some amazing Geisha varietals from Central America, and I've even roasted coffee from Sumatra that scored 92 by Coffee Review. And like many coffee enthusiasts, I have an entire cabinet of various brewers, Chemex, French Press, Moka Pot, Aeropress, etc.

@Luke Gilbert I'm a huge fan of the Switch, my go to alternatives are the V60 or French Press
"Which espresso style do you prefer?"
Which espresso style do you prefer: traditional Italian (7โ€“8g of coffee) or modern third wave (9-10 g of coffee)?

At our cafes we use 18g baskets, depending on the coffee, I like to aim for 36g to 50g in the cup.
