New host here - let's do a quick roll call
šŸ‘‹ Hey everyone, Nicky here. I’m delighted to step in as your new host for this community! I’ve already been in touch with some peeps via DM, and in the background I’m sending an email out to all our fab members so nobody misses the update. My aim is simple: continue the amazing work that @Luke Gilbert started, keep this community buzzing with good conversations, practical brewing tips, and a place to share what we all love - coffee. ā˜• To kick things off, I’d love to hear from you: where are you sipping from today + what’s in your cup? Drop a quick comment (pic welcome!) so we can get a roll call going. Looking forward to getting to know you all. šŸ™Œ Nicky ps: I'm in Ireland. My first of the day WAS a Rebel House Espresso from javathehutt.ie roastery. It's a fab bean from Brazil. We also serve it in our converted horse box coffee trailer which is parked up at our local football club full time. I'm fully caffeinated and ready for the day!

Started the day with a light roast Kenya coffee from Norange in Copenhagen, prepared pour-over at home, exceptional stuff. Then I had a lovely Honduran by FRUKT roasters in Turku, Finland also made on my Timemore Tumbler Dripper.

@Luke Gilbert Absolutely, very light.

If you saw this sign in the window of a coffee shop, are you walking in, or walking past? Personally, I'm walking in.

Kinda ties into this which is one of my favourite coffee shops in Bangkok, they just posted. Gotta pick one up next time I'm there.....

I think eating a spicy Tom Yum soup the night before helps getting anything out thats lingering. Rather drink my coffee the regular way :-)
Handgrinders
For those who use them, whether at home or on the road, what is your favourite ? I used to have a Timemore C3 ESP PRO but it was quite exhausting to grind. I'll be testing the Kingrinder K6 next week which is exciting as many people say the clarity is amazing on filter coffee. I'm also testing a new FLAT BURR handgrinder by Normcore, which sounds wild.. What are you rocking?

@Luke Gilbert Yeah, seen tons of great reviews about the K6, especially for my kinda profile light-roast coffee with brightness, acidity, juicy, sweet flavours. Will report back!

@Rebecca Haywood Light-Roasts are always a bitch with handgrinders.. haha.. although I really have noticed such a huge difference when I use the Kingrinder K6. It literally takes 15-20 seconds to grind 20grams and there is very little resistance even with Ethiopian light-roast.
How long between drinks?
If you're an early morning coffee drinker like I am, what is your optimal time between drinks? Is it one or two hits in quick succession? or A short time between drinks? or A long time between drinks? What's your routine?

Regular routine: First coffee around 8.30am Second around 10-11am Then maybe the last one around 1-2pm Depends if I'm staying home or hitting coffee shops. If I'm doing a guide and need to hit multiple shops in a day, I'll only have one at home, and then hit 2-3 shops.
