Escapes
Is there a position that gives you hell to escape from or even worse can't escape? I only know of one that don't have an answer for........Yet!

There’s a chap using the “high ground” move at my gym with some success have you encountered this move? I can break the grip by hooking my own leg and get to a easier position if lucky but not full proof?

14 years training I feel I’m very relaxed on the bottom now in bad position and recognise moves that generally lower belts are thinking about doing to me. Generally not gassing too much unless im playing on the feet more or defending heavy passers that switch sides a lot, I’m very much a counter player. Feel like I need to start playing a more top dominate game going forward being more decisive used to do more Gracie now sport focused gym.

Hi I’m Tom, brown belt, uk Trained consistently 1-2 times a week for 14 years. Started under Simon Yeo (passed last month R.I.P) up to purple and 2nd Dan ninjitsu. Train now at elevate martial arts Richmond as brown. Interested in the self defense perspective and ideas to keep me grounded and efficiency of techniques as I get older in a gym of young strong athletic training partners
