Swatching Iridescent + Chrome powders
Hey y’all I’m in the process of swatching some new powders that I got. I’m just wondering is there a colour difference with the chrome powders if it’s on a white base versus a black base? I know that it might be best to do the iridescent on a black base depending on what it is, but I’ve got a chameleon powders which I’ve never used before just wondering what everyone’s opinion is on what base colour I should use?

I swatches then all in about 4-5 hrs. Got in a production line type pattern and had a good flow. And also don't wanna get covered in clotter and chrome like that again and ruin another nail set. Yes gloves are a thing but the swatch dots are a little fiddly 😅. Stickering and booking them and adding to my digital catalogue a different story. But much faster than swatching.

@Gracie De Ridder yeah I now have enough of all that it doesn't matter. If it's a safe surface I scoop it and it goes into my mystery chrome concoction 😂 😂
5 psychological triggers that make your content irresistible 🧠
Your clients are scrolling for one thing: a hit to their brain’s secret buttons. Here are 5 triggers you should be weaving into your posts: Trigger #1 – Fear of Missing Out ✨ Why it works: Our brains hate being left out. ✨ Actionable: Spotlight what they’ll lose by not acting. ✨ Example: “Last year I had to turn people away for Christmas nails because I was fully booked by November. Don’t let that be you this year - book early.” Trigger #2 – Belonging & Social Proof ✨ Why it works: We follow crowds we trust. ✨ Actionable: Showcase real clients and their nail journeys. ✨ Example: “This client used to be a nail biter, but look at the growth after just 3 appointments!” Trigger #3 – Identity & Self-Image ✨ Why it works: People buy to become the person they want to be. ✨ Actionable: Paint the identity shift your services provide. ✨ Example: “These are not just nails, they’re an audacity upgrade. You walk into that interview like, hire me or I’ll start my own company and steal your staff.” Trigger #4 – Scarcity & Urgency ✨ Why it works: Limited availability spikes desire. ✨ Actionable: Frame slots or products as rare or time-sensitive. ✨ Example: “Have you booked your Halloween set yet? Slots are limited, and I can’t promise you one if you don’t book now.” Trigger #5 – Aspiration ✨ Why it works: We pursue what we can imagine. ✨ Actionable: Paint a vivid “after” result. ✨ Example: “This client can’t believe that these are her natural nails after visiting us regularly for the last 6 months.” At the end of the day, your content isn’t just “posting nails”. It’s pressing the exact buttons in your clients’ brains that make them stop scrolling and start booking. Sprinkle these triggers into your captions and stories, and suddenly you’re not begging for clients - they’re begging for you.

Is number 6 Glitter and sparkles? ✨ ✨ 🤭
What's your favourite nail shape?
✨ So many shapes to choose from — almond, coffin, stiletto, square… the list goes on! 💅 Which one is your personal favourite to wear or create for a client? I have been wearing long stiletto since I started occassionally wearing long coffin. 🫣

No I don't, I also don't have the space. I also have a fear of feet. Doing my own pedicure is enough for me. Any tips to get more comfortable?

@Nicky MacLean Yeah that what I figured. There are so many people that don't do pedicure services that survive. I don't really know. Mine are sensitive. So when I was going to salons I was painfully gripping seats and trying not to jump when the massage started. When the touch is coming from someone else it's different, hence I can do my own pedicures. Even with ppe, I feel I'd still struggle. I don't know how to politely word so apologies in advance. I'm also a little scared of having to work on others that don't take as much care. I understand that's the point if the service, but severely cracked heels and dry skin catching on gloves or towels and flaking of under pedicure files. Again point if the service is upkeep and maintenance but it just kinda rubs me the wrong way. 😅 And for now it's just safer to not go that direction til I'm 100% ready. 🫣
