Nail Glossary
Hey everyone! Here is a link to a document we'll be using as a nail glossary ๐Ÿ“– I've just started it roughly, if there's ever a word you want to have added and defined, just pop it in the comments and we'll add it ๐Ÿซถ (I will delete your comment once I've added it to the glossary) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s-6HsS1Cq0_5sLR1OKQC4l_Tzu7zZEWErCcvg0Lf0PE/edit?usp=sharing
Learning Dual Forms: Episode 1
Hereโ€™s the first episode! Due to Skoolโ€™s upload restrictions, I have sped the video up a bit to make the video shorter and the file size more appropriate, so thatโ€™s why my voice is in another pitch ๐Ÿ˜† Here is a full list of things Iโ€™m using during this process, including the links to the dual forms that were recommended to me. Pinching Clips (as shown in the video) Flash cure torch Diamond Flame Bit Corn and Cone bit for underside cleaning Tapered small cone (cleaning) bit for underside cleaning Hard Gel (and appropriate rubber base and top coat) Dual Form Tips: https://share.temu.com/3BRMOCOrJJA https://share.temu.com/MGaHwcEkQHA https://share.temu.com/X2hdBlWqeqA https://share.temu.com/7dQOJX2cRiA https://share.temu.com/8oGhIdNB1vA
Learning Dual Forms: Episode 1
Let's learn Dual Forms!
Something new is coming into the communityโ€ฆ and just a heads up - itโ€™s not polished. Iโ€™m starting a weekly series documenting me learning dual formsโ€ฆ from scratch. Yup. After 8 years in the industry. Yup. Itโ€™s a little humbling. This isnโ€™t going to be one of those โ€œwatch me magically be good at everythingโ€ situations. You're going to see the awkward stages. The overthinking. The โ€œwhy does this look like that??โ€ moments, because thatโ€™s the part no one really showsโ€ฆand itโ€™s also the part everyone goes through. My goal here isn't perfection, it's proof. Proof that skill is built. Proof that repetition works. Proof that even experienced techs have to start at zero sometimes. Iโ€™ll be sharing what Iโ€™m struggling with, whatโ€™s clicking, whatโ€™s changing - in real time. Now I need your input: Would you rather I share this as ๐Ÿ”˜ Unedited live calls (so you can ask questions + learn with me in the moment) ๐Ÿ”˜ Edited pre-recorded breakdowns (so itโ€™s more structured and easy to revisit. Keep in mind, once I have perfected the technique, I will make a proper course in the classroom modules as well) Vote in the poll below โฌ‡๏ธ Either wayโ€ฆ youโ€™re getting the full journey. So enjoy ๐Ÿ˜…

Social Media Session - 17/03/26
Missed the call or short on time? Hereโ€™s the quick breakdown ๐Ÿ‘‡ (First of all - I do apologize about the bird and my foul language ๐Ÿฅฒ) This session was all about what a brand actually is and why itโ€™s one of the biggest factors in building a strong client base. A lot of nail techs think branding means logos, colours, and an aesthetic feed. Those things do helpโ€ฆ but theyโ€™re not the brand. Your brand is the meaning people attach to your name. When someone hears your name, what do they instantly think of? โ€ข insanely detailed nail art โ€ข luxury manicures โ€ข flawless structureโ€ข the nail health girl Those associations donโ€™t happen by accident. Theyโ€™re built through repetition. Every time someone sees your work, your content, or your salon experience, their brain is linking: your name + a specific idea Over time, that link becomes automatic. And thatโ€™s when people start saying things like: โ€œIโ€™ve been wanting to book with you for ages.โ€โ€œI heard youโ€™re amazing at nail art.โ€ Thatโ€™s branding doing its job. A few key takeaways from the call: โ€ข A brand is a mental shortcut. Itโ€™s what people instantly associate with your name. โ€ข Consistency builds strong brands. When your content repeatedly reinforces the same message, the association becomes stronger. โ€ข Random content weakens your brand. If your page is a mix of unrelated posts, the brain canโ€™t categorise what youโ€™re known for. โ€ข Strong brands usually start narrow. Trying to appeal to everyone makes it harder for people to remember what you specialise in. โ€ข Branding reduces price comparison. When clients associate you with something specific, they stop looking for the cheapest option and start looking for you. The goal isnโ€™t to post more. The goal is to become known for something. Because when someone in your area thinks: โ€œI want really good nail art.โ€ โ€ฆand your name pops into their head firstโ€ฆ thatโ€™s when your brand starts working for you. ๐Ÿ’…
