Perimenopause makes my body feel different
Perimenopause can change how our workouts feel… physically AND emotionally. Some days it’s not about calories or PR’s. It’s about regulating stress, boosting my mood, and feeling grounded again. And when I get a Stanley hug after?!! That’s a bonus🥰💜 Move your body. Be kind to yourself. That counts. ALWAYS!

Yes!!! This is so true. I personally find the same with myself (I have AuDHD, so i have to put mental boundaries for myself lol). So I have been doing the same. I listen to plantwave binary frequencies before bed, to calm my nervous system down. I also brain dump before going to bed. Is just where I journal or write down thoughts, reflections. Anything that keeps me restless I put it down on paper. And yes, as far as eating that is so true! I find that i bloat more as well when I eat after 7pm, and its like a meal. So now, I eat like pistachios or fruit, sometimes chocolate. Lol, but when I do intentional listen to my body. I have a lot of energy, less brain fog. Once my friend of the month comes, its all out the window. My body feel so tired during that time. But I love this so much! One thing I have been doing when I lay in bed and cant sleep after all that. I go into another room, keep the lights dim and I crochet or like yourself i read a book until I get tired again. Thank you for sharing this! I see this space helping me get back into intentional actions when it comes to my health and I love it.

@Alyssa Furukawa that's great to hear. I always tell people who have trouble sleeping to try it out. Because it really does settle the body and brain. How do you feel after in the mornings?

My day, has been slow. Im starting to think I do it on purpose lol. Slow start, followed by a banana, and dates. A glass off water. Now just pausing for a few. Was getting laundry done, and prepping for dinner. Unfortunately, no yoga or stretching today. I'm cool with it, may do it tonight.

These Snickers bites are my new obsession- sweet, salty, crunchy, and way more blood - sugar friendly than the real thing! ( Hello peri/meno cravings🙋🏻‍♀️) I know dates are high sugar- and I pretty much ALWAYS make even “treats” With some sort of protein added…. but sometimes you just crave the sweetness!!! And that’s ok!!! 🫶🏽Why I love these!! ✅satisfies sugar cravings ✅has fiber + healthy fats ✅helps avoid the “crash + snack spiral” ✅perfect after dinner or pre-workout bite! @Angela Arthur yes, when i saw it all of it. Lol, the very first thing I did was call my mother lol. And she just kept telling me more benefits. I was like, man, this is like a super food. I have bananas, and dates lol. I have to see if I have peanute butter and some nuts. Because my sons, who are almost men. Devour everything in the pantry 😒 lol. Especially my eldest who is into fitness.
