Experienced etsy sellers
hello, i just want some advice I'm in my 3rd month and got 84 sales so far most of them had come in my 3rd month, i'm getting around 1 to 2 sales a day sometime 3 to 4 but they are more rare, i've got up to 502 prints creating, I've been updating about 5-10 prints a day so i know it take's time to get reconisedon etsy, but i'm wondering if the 1 to 2 a day is normal or am i missing a trick and should be getting more, my store is home decor so i'm doing different rooms around the house but don't think that'll make a difference, any just would'nt mind some advice from some people who have been doing it for a while. Thanks

ROADMAP - Tools > Integrations > Etsy Connection details
I have an order for two posters to fulfil. I added my product as it wasn't uploaded yet, went to Create Order and clicked Import. The import failed because it was trying to pull orders from my other shop. There is nothing on that screen to a) see what shop the current integration is with, b) how to disconnect that connection, c) change the connection to a different shop. The way to disconnect the current connection (and was raised by another user in February, is to a) know what store you are connected to, and b) go to the 'Apps' menu item in the relevant Etsy shop, click 'Connected Apps' and then disconnect PrintShrimp. If you don't see PrintShrimp connected then that isn't the Etsy shop that is connected. Once disconnected, go to PrintShrimp and notice there is no longer a connection to an Etsy shop then you can start the connection process to link to the relevant shop. Roadmap request is on this screen to be able to see the shop name that you are connected to in the PrintShrimp screen, and additionally to put some text to tell people how to disconnect (i.e. directs the user to Etsy to do this). As I imported orders when it was connected to my other shop, the screen now shows a failed order which has no relevance to the current shop and there is no obvious way to remove this from the list of Pending orders. So this is another item - the pending orders list within the 'Create Orders' menu should only display orders relating to the store you are connected to. This is even more relevant because I believe I've seen that there is a 1:1 relationship between your PrintShrimp login/account and the Etsy connection. Multiple Etsy shops? Multiple PrintShrimp accounts. Therefore I should only be seeing orders relating to the connected shop. This might actually be a bug.

@Tom Beeston Thanks, Tom - sorry, I didn't see the 'Delete' button on the order... that was dumb lol I've updated to the correct shop, so I know now that its all correct, and I've processed my latest order via import so worked well. I think for the shop name, it would be nice to see the shop name where it says "Your Etsy store is connected!" just so it's clear to the user.

@Jayne Mcauley I’m not seeing how this can be accomplished in bulk with variations other than changing by percentage which isn’t going to work. Need to be able to set a fixed rate different by variation and by domestic/usa/everywhere else. If you know this can be done and I’ve simply just missed it, would be great if you could share that with the community.

@Mihai Volintiriu Cheers, Mihai. Yeah, I know about the API limitation. According to this page in vela, they are unable to do this: https://getvela.ai/help/post/international-shops-currency-taxes-tariffs-and-global-pricing-in-vela From this page: Etsy currently limits how third-party tools like Vela can interact withΒ Domestic and Global PricingΒ features. Key Limitations - Vela cannot update or sync listings that use Etsy’s β€œDomestic and Global Pricing” feature. - To edit those listings in Vela, temporarilyΒ disable global pricingΒ in your Etsy shop settings. - Once disabled, Vela can edit and sync your listings normally. - We’re actively working with Etsy’s engineering and product teams to enable full compatibility in a future release.
Help with selling
Hi everyone, I was just looking to see if my progress was relatable as I've been doing my best to post 3 to 5 new posters everyday and still have no orders in 2 months. I've only received 3 scam messages and i'm already doing $5 a day on ads. I feel i'm missing something but I can't create more than I'm already doing at the minute. Should I continue ads? increase the price? or stop and focus on creating? Open to any tips.

@Saskia V I like your posters! very cute and niche. I did notice on e-rank one of your tags is "aeshetic poster" - is that supposed to be aesthetic?
Border dimensions?
I'm looking at different options for certain posters where some will be edge to edge and others will require a border. A perfect example for illustration is the travel posters Tom shows which he might actually sell. So the main image is placed within the poster but has a lovely border around it, with the bottom either having a larger blank area for text or a same-size border around the entire image. This will also allow the customer to frame the poster and keep a lovely border instead of having to place a matt frame around the poster to get a border. I don't really know the best border size, if you used the travel poster as the example what are those border thicknesses around the main image?

Thanks - I did find some AI results giving some ideas and I went for 6cm on all sides for an A0 size. I let PrintShrimp automatically resize this on uploading and then I tested that by ordering an A5 to see how it would scale down and it came out with a 1cm border on all sides and looks great.

@Mihai Volintiriu This is a good point. I think it depends on what one wants the border for... I use it as part of the statement the poster makes, hence a larger border.
