File upload limit
That’s 2 orders I’ve tried to put through today that I’ve had to abandon and go with another POD because both were over 50MB (52MB), even though the upload limit is 75MB. Can you please advise what the issue is here? Thanks!

@Chloe Mitchell That’s great for you. Not so great on my end. I have tried every troubleshooting method conceivable. Various browsers, various devices, various formats, even used a VPN. Anyway, I’m out of ideas at this point. What are the file sizes you are uploading? Are they over 50MB?

@Jack Gowan Appreciate the input, but in this case it’s not a PPI issue. PPI by itself doesn’t increase file size, total pixel dimensions do. My artwork dimensions are correct for the print size, and the files are exporting exactly as expected. Compression format affects size (PNG vs JPEG), but that’s not what’s happening here. I’ve tested multiple exports and there’s a consistent hard cutoff… anything under 50MB uploads fine, anything over 50MB fails, even though the platform states 75MB max. The same files upload without issue on other POD sites. That strongly suggests a backend/server side upload limit set to 50MB rather than a resolution mismatch or scaling problem. If it were a PPI or dimension issue, the failures would be inconsistent, not a clean 50MB wall. Anyhow, I’m done troubleshooting at this point and will just export to under 50MB for anything on PrintShrimp.
Hi all. New here. Do I need to consider “bleed” when setting the A0 size in Photoshop?
My posters have this image size after exporting from Photoshop: 9933 x 14043 pixels and Image DPI is 762 pixels/inch. I followed all the steps, used midjourney and Upscayl. Thanks

If your design runs right to the edge, add 3mm bleed (standard in the UK). If it’s got built in white margins and nothing important hits the edge, you don’t need to stress. Your 9933 × 14043px is perfect for A0 at 300dpi. The 762dpi number is just metadata, so ignore it. When in doubt, check with the printer. They’ll tell you exactly what they need.
A few questions!
Hi folks. Stumbled upon PrintShrimp after researching POD services. Long story short, Gelato has screwed me over royally with 5 orders in the past 2 weeks. Orders have either gone missing, been damaged, or the quality sucked. One was sat “in production” for almost a fortnight. It’s been a nightmare. They also use EVRI for UK delivery. The prices are amazing, but the consistency is diabolical. Any way, I am going to try PrintShrimp but just need clarity on 2 things: A. Why isn’t there a preview and or a fit/fill canvas page? I have tested Artelo and Papello (not financially viable for me unless I increase my prices substantially), and they have this as standard. As do the majority of other POD services. IMO this needs to be implemented. B. When will the framed options be available? I’m having a very busy time and I need to plan ahead. There’s no point in me uploading over 200 prints and linking my Etsy shop if this isn’t something that will be available for months. Ideally I don’t want to arse around using multiple PODs, one for UK prints, one for framed orders etc. I’d much rather use PS to fulfil EVERYTHING if all goes well! Thanks in advance.

@Jayne Mcauley I don’t doubt that your orders came out fine, but that doesn’t make previews unnecessary. They’re there for edge cases, odd ratios, client files, automatic scaling where you don’t want to find out after it’s printed. It’s just a safety check. If previews weren’t needed, every POD I’ve used over the past 6-7 years wouldn’t have them built into their workflow.

@Jayne Mcauley You can check some things in PS etc, but the preview shows how the printer’s system actually interprets your file, its templates, bleed, and auto-scaling rules. That part varies between PODs and can’t be perfectly replicated on your end. It’s just a final safety check to make sure the machine ready output matches what you expect.
Locating Prints
Hello! First time trying this... Where do people normally find prints from please to upload onto Etsy and how do you make sure the image is of good quality - the images I have been uploading the quality is really blurry! Thanks

Ah yes, the ancient Etsy tradition: find a random image on the internet, right-click, upload, and voilà! art business.
Mid Journey Art Quality
I’ve created images in midjourney and upscale creatively before downloading them, when I preview the image it says it has 72DPI which I don’t believe is enough for printing although Tom has said in his videos that if you upscale creatively it will be good enough quality for resizing to any size. Do I need to do anything else to the image or is it actually ok for resizing and printing as it is?

@Tracey Roga You’re overthinking this, Tracey 😆 Just upscale from Midjourney, then make sure your final export is already the exact size you need for print. You can use Canva to resize if you want, just download as a high quality PNG or JPG and you’re good. As long as the file is big enough and sharp, you’re fine! 👍
