Gear acquisition syndrome
New Jake E Lee Blueburst. Help talk me out of it. I have the white one. I have no need for this one, but… I can’t eat, I can’t sleep. I can’t focus at work. I can only think of her. Even while playing guitar, I look down hoping to see blue burst. I need your help!

Try this!
Being a luthier.
I dont typically post a lot but as I go through school for lutherie, I have definitely learned a few things about guitar players. We all think we know everything about guitars (at least I felt like I knew most of it). We do not🤣 the more I repair instruments that people have attempted to repair before me, the more I have come to the conclusion that guitar players can tinker themselves into a hell of an expensive bill. My intent is not to ruffle feathers but to mearly point out the fact that as guitar players the quest for more knowledge and the need to customize things can really get us into trouble. Has anyone else had this with their own instruments?

lol. No union and luthiers and guitar techs get paid bupkiss! I also went to Luthiery School ( a 2 year in person program) and I see lots of bad advice in online forums.
So…..
I went to plug my acoustic/electric guitar into the amp cord and….. the hookup piece fell inside the guitar… Anyone have an idea to fix it WITHOUT taking the strings off?

You will have to get your arm inside the guitar and it’s a pain to get the jack to line up back into its hole. To get the input jack back in its hole correctly I use an old guitar cable. Slide the cable through the hole where the jack mounts ( you might need to take the housing off to make it fit). Pull the cable and the jack out through the sound hole, plug the cable into the jack and gently pull it back into place. Presto! No messing around with your arm inside the guitar trying to find the hole ( insert your own dirty joke here) As I put the nut and washer back on I put a drop of clear nail polish between the nut and the washer. This will keep the nut from coming loose as easily again. If your guitar has F holes it’s a whole different story but I’m not writing that book this morning.
stringjoy Balanced Ultra Light Signatures 7-38
well, stringjoy has just started advertising a new string. Balanced Ultra Light Signatures 7-38. dont know about anyone else, .008's are light enough i would think. i cant imagine playing a .007 . i think staying in tune and breakage would be an issue. but i could be wrong. im used to playing and bending 13's. is this a string any of you all would be interested in?? Orianthi maybe. LOL

Way too light for me.. I use 12's or 11's.I tried the string joy, didn't see the value for the price.
Weekend plans
What is everyone doing this weekend? Playing a gig? Going to a show? Date night? Me personally, my wife is away, so I'll be playing so very loud.
