Blacked out
I wanna hear your thoughts about wearing all black to the theater or occasions like that. I had a situation when it was my only choice with that blazer to not look too official and to not look like a bum. What I could change in outfit like that?

I’ve always been a fan of all black. According to this photo, I think you did great with the outfit.
Looking good daily
Are there any gents out there working blue collar jobs that keep a clean sophisticated look on a regular basis? Last week when I joined the group, I put together a real nice outfit that made me feel like a million bucks… and I did it for under $100! Navy button down, nice pair of jeans, a brown leather belt, and the score of the year on a great looking pair of brown leather shoes. Putting this outfit together boosted my self image 10 fold, and I felt great! I wish I would have snapped a photo. I work a blue collar job and have found myself back in my old clothing for the 4 days I’ve been back to work, and I’m trying to sort out in my mind how I am going to continue to keep a clean sophisticated look on a more regular basis. I am able to change my clothes before and after work in the locker room, but when I get home I usually have a few things to accomplish that I don’t want to be wearing nice clothes while doing.
Help me choose a travel hat.
Hello, I have a trip to Japan next week and want to take a hat. I am going on a cruise ship and will plan to walk a lot on all the cities where we dock. I have it down to the 3 hats on the picture. Thanks for the advice.

They are all great choices, but for me I’d go with #1.
Are You Worth It?
One time I had to catch a flight; and I meant to grab a bottle water from home, needless to say I forgot. I also had to stop at the gym to grab my bag along the way so I thought I would get it there. Traffic was horrible, so I wanted to make sure I arrived at the airport on time to get through all the checks. So I decided I’ll get one at the airport, because I know by then I will definitely be parched. A bottle of water is one dollar at the store, two dollars at the gym, four dollars at the airport, and seven dollars on a flight, same water different price tag. Why, because it’s not about the water it’s about where the water is located . See when you feel like people are not seeing you it is not because you are low value, it is not because you are not worth much. It’s because you’re in the wrong spot. Maybe you are not around the right crowd, maybe your stuck in a place that are not built to recognize what you bring. Next time you feel underestimated stop and ask yourself where am I standing. Because, if a bottle of water can be worth seven dollars just by switching its location imagine what happens when you put yourself in the right place. Stop settling, find where your value matches your ambition don’t waste time trying to convince people who do have the vision to see it. Keep it moving sometimes you have to leave to level up.

I’ve been in this position… it is real. Back in 2021 I had been at the top of my game in the industry I worked. I moved to a different industry working in a similar position as before and doubled my yearly salary. Found the right people and helped them with new projects elsewhere in 2024 and gained another 25% on my yearly salary.

Hello Gentlemen. I usually go by Steve. I’m 41 and looking to stop dressing like I’m in college, or just stepped off the job site.
