Can I Get Your Honest Take on a Book Title?
Hi all, I’ve been working on my book title for weeks (maybe months!) and have read a lot about what makes a strong one. I think I’ve landed on a title that ticks most of the boxes — at least it makes sense to me. The challenge is: 1. I’m not sure how it sounds to others. 2. It might be on the long side. I even ran it through the AM Institute’s EMV Headline Analyser, and it scored 43%, which is decent, but I’d like to know how it lands with real people. What’s the best way to properly test a book title? My personal network doesn’t know much about writing books, so I don’t think they’d give me the most useful feedback. Thanks in advance, Alex

Book Title creation - My on-going torment continues
OK - I have several book titles that I will list here. Based upon the title alone can you describe the books content? BTW I ran each title through the Headliner Anaylzer and the lowest scored was in the mid 30's and the highest was in the mid 50's. According to the EMV analyzer most professional copywriters' headlines will typically have 30-40% EMV words in their headlines. However, this is only one way to determine if a title/headline will resonate. Be brutal with your critique - after the many days of testing and rewording and testing some more - in my state of mind your brutal words will not even make me flinch. I truly thank you for your thoughts about these titles. I like Book Marketing on a Budget and Tight Budget Marketing. Very clear call to the reader and what they get from it.
Book cover title
I have a question open to all: What is the best way, or ways, to test out a book cover title? I have a few good ones, and frankly I am having a hard time with this one. To date I have published 3 books - 2 memoir/history and 1 spiritual and had no prob with the titles for those books. This is a How To, and I have identified what I want the title to say and not to say. Frankly this one is stumping me. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I start with keywords -- what are the keywords that have to be in the title for the reader to find it and know it's for them? How To guides should easily identify their reader and what they learn right in the title. Start with the keywords and then look at other books in the category to get ideas on what is selling. And extra bonus: Author Launch Kit can help you do all of that!

@Kevin Hall Crowdsourcing can help for sure. Just make sure who you sourcing align with your ideal reader, or you'll get input that might not be relevant to your book and goals.
Doodly
What does everyone think about the Doodle videos? Mostly explainer videos to establish authority and market to other audiences. I have been looking into making this application into a way to appeal to other or different audiences

I like Doodle videos for breaking down complex ideas into something easier to follow along. They're great for that kind of messaging.
