Hot Topic: Are EMFs impacting your health? 🤔
As women, especially those navigating hormonal changes, it’s vital to stay informed about how our modern tech-filled world might affect our well-being. 💻📱 In this video: https://www.loom.com/share/0f901a9811384ea2990e317b258b1c37?sid=5c30ed78-97dd-4e4d-84c6-0d5547459648 I dive into the science behind electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and their potential effects on our bodies, particularly focusing on women's health and neurology. I’ll also share some personal strategies I use to reduce EMF exposure, like avoiding Wi-Fi routers at home, limiting wearable tech at night, and keeping my phone on airplane mode while I sleep. 🛏️✨ 🌟 Plus, I’ve noticed a rise in EMF inhibitors—have you tried any? Let’s discuss! What steps do YOU take to reduce EMF exposure? Share your thoughts and experiences below. ⬇️ Let’s explore how we can stay connected while protecting our health. 💪💡 Studies Discussed: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8388394/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33917298/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38880062/ #NeuroPower4Women #EMFExposure #WomensHealth #Neurology #ChiropracticCare #HealthyLiving #DigitalDetox

This is such an important topic, especially with how much tech is woven into our daily lives! I’ve definitely been more mindful about EMF exposure, especially around sleep—I’ve started keeping my phone on airplane mode at night and noticed better rest. I also use a product by Somaved. I’m curious—how do EMFs specifically impact women’s neurology and hormonal balance? Are there particular symptoms or effects that show up more for women than men? Also, do you have any thoughts on the effectiveness of EMF inhibitors? I see them popping up a lot, but I’m unsure how much of a difference they actually make!

The Neurology of the Menstrual Cycle: How Your Brain Guides Every Phase
The menstrual cycle is driven by communication between the brain and ovaries through the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis. Understanding this brain-body connection empowers women to track their cycles effectively and optimize their health. Phases of the Menstrual Cycle (~28 day cycle) and Brain Influence: Menstrual Phase (Days 1-5) - What’s happening: Uterine lining sheds as hormone levels drop. - Brain’s Role: The hypothalamus releases GnRH to stimulate Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) production by the pituitary gland - Mood/Energy: Low estrogen can cause fatigue, irritability, or brain fog. Follicular Phase (Days 6-14) - What’s happening: FSH promotes follicle growth; estrogen increases. - Brain’s Role: Estrogen improves serotonin levels, memory, and focus. - Mood/Energy: Feel energized, optimistic, and mentally sharp. Ovulation (Around Day 14) - What’s happening: A surge in Luteinizing Hormone (LH) triggers egg release. - Brain’s Role: Estrogen enhances reward circuits and social behavior. - Mood/Energy: Increased libido, confidence, and sociability. Luteal Phase (Days 15-28) - What’s happening: Progesterone rises to maintain the uterine lining. - Brain’s Role: Progesterone activates GABA receptors (calming effect). - Mood/Energy: Initially calm, but PMS (premenstrual syndrome) may occur as estrogen drops. *** I would suggest making note of any physical symptoms and/or feelings that may come up within this phase *** Hormones and Brain Function Across the Cycle - Estrogen: Boosts serotonin and neuroplasticity (positive mood and cognition). - Progesterone: Activates GABA for relaxation but drops near the period, causing PMS. - Cortisol: Chronic stress can disrupt the HPO axis, affecting cycle regularity. Tools for Tracking Your Cycle - Calendar Apps (i.e. Flo, Apple Health App, Period Calendar) - Basal Body Temperature (BBT) Tracking: 1. Use a basal thermometer 2. Take your temperature every morning before getting out of bed 3. A temperature rise (~0.3-0.5°F) indicates ovulation.

How does the brain function differently when it is not natural menopause. As in if the Mother had history of menopause and so did the daughter, however it is very unnatural for that early age. How is it different in this case?

@Dr. Alid Obed I’m curious—how does brain function differ when menopause occurs at an unnaturally early age, especially when there’s a generational pattern? If a mother experienced early menopause and the daughter follows the same timeline, could this be a form of epigenetic influence or hormonal imprinting rather than a purely biological inevitability? Are there ways to support the brain and endocrine system to shift or delay this pattern potentially?
⚠️ The Truth About Supplements: What You Need to Know Before You Buy
Ladies, let’s talk about something super important for your health journey—supplements. ✨ While they can be powerful tools for optimizing your wellness, it’s critical to make informed choices. Here’s the catch: not all supplements are created equal. ❌ Amazon and other online retailers: Did you know that many supplements sold on these platforms aren’t regulated? This means: • You can’t always confirm what’s actually in the bottle. • Some products may contain harmful additives or incorrect dosages. • Counterfeit or expired products can slip through the cracks. 💊 Why does this matter? What you put in your body impacts your brain, hormones, and overall health—especially during menstruation or menopause when your system is more sensitive. ✅ How to protect yourself: 1. Look for supplements that are third-party tested (e.g., NSF Certified, USP Verified). 2. Buy directly from trusted brands or your healthcare provider. 3. Don’t rely on flashy marketing—research ingredients and sourcing. ✨Check out our Free Essentials Course for more information on this topic This Video Says It All😶 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDI77iHJDrW/?igsh=ODVweDhyaWk2N25o #SupplementSafety #WomensWellness #EmpoweredHealth

This is such an important conversation! It’s so easy to assume that all supplements are safe just because they’re available online. I’m curious—does supplement testing and regulation vary by country? For example, in India, are there specific certifications or third-party testing standards we should look for when choosing high-quality supplements? Would love to know how to navigate this in different regions!
Hot Topic - The Nutrient Density Debate: Animal vs. Plant Foods 🌱🍖
In this week’s hot topic discussion, I explore the nutrient density of animal foods compared to plant foods, especially in the context of fertility and maternal health. Drawing inspiration from Real Food for Fertility and Weston A. Price’s Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, I highlight why traditional diets often prioritized nutrient-dense animal foods like liver, fish roe, and egg yolks for expectant mothers. 🎥 In the video, I also dive into: ✨ The superior bioavailability of Vitamin A from animal foods. ✨ The critical role of animal-based nutrients in brain development and overall health. ✨ Why both animal and plant foods have unique contributions to a balanced diet. I’d love to hear your thoughts! What’s your take on the prioritization of animal foods for women’s health and fertility? Let’s keep this conversation going in the comments below! https://www.loom.com/share/1f4596c2530f45a3b99aa03db94258bb?sid=885fb43f-2692-4b1b-99ad-117250ab982a #WomensHealth #FertilityNutrition #AnimalFoods #WestonAPrice #EvidenceBasedNutrition #FutureChiropractor #NeurologyAndNutrition

This is such a fascinating discussion! It’s incredible to see how traditional diets strongly emphasised nutrient-dense animal foods, especially for fertility and maternal health. I've been curious about the bioavailability factor of specific vitamins, like Vitamin A. For a vegetarian in their mid-40s, how would you recommend optimising nutrient intake, especially for hormonal balance and brain health? Are there plant-based alternatives that can provide similar benefits to foods like liver or fish roe, or would supplementation be necessary? Would love to hear your insights!
🌸 PCOS & Insulin Resistance: How Food & Supplements Can Help 🌸
PCOS is often tied to insulin resistance, which plays a major role in hormonal imbalance and irregular cycles. In this video, I explain how insulin acts like a bodyguard for our cells—and what happens when it stops working properly. https://www.loom.com/share/9e2a2fa95ba84aaba8fcbe03b4dadf23?sid=571e1043-99af-4529-9872-b31e7c1abd1a I also share insights from Real Food for Fertility and evidence-based supplement options like: Vitamin D – supports insulin sensitivity & menstrual regularity Inositol – improves insulin sensitivity & supports ovulation N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) – enhances insulin sensitivity & reduces oxidative stress Omega-3 Fatty Acids – reduce inflammation & support hormone balance Along with dietary changes, exercise, stress management, and quality sleep, these strategies can help women with PCOS regain control of their health. Let’s discuss! Do you or someone you know have PCOS? What strategies have worked for you or them? This is such an insightful breakdown! It’s amazing how deeply insulin resistance is connected to hormonal health. I’m not dealing with PCOS, but I’m really curious—how do these same strategies apply to menopause? Since hormonal shifts during menopause also impact insulin sensitivity, would supplements like Inositol or NAC be beneficial for balancing blood sugar and reducing symptoms like fatigue or weight gain? Also, are there specific dietary or exercise adjustments that work better for women navigating menopause-related metabolic changes?
