I want more of my work to exist in the physical world again. Not just inside screens, dashboards, and tabs. As a teacher, I knew better. Every morning, I walked into my fifth-grade classroom in the Belgian forest and set up the environment for learning. Lights on. Shades open. Schedule on the board. Furniture moved, thoughtful setup. The room itself helped the day unfold. Somewhere along the way in entrepreneurship, I let too much of my business live inside my laptop. Too much tech. Too many tabs. Not enough space to think. So this week, I am rebuilding my environment. A waily whiteboard again. My visual 12 Week Year plan. Sticky notes. Big ideas in plain sight. Not perfect. Just intentional. Because teachers know something entrepreneurs might not. Environment is the third teacher. What is in front of us is what our brain literally sees and returns to throughout the day. In my classroom, we always had the schedule on a whiteboard. We checked off each part of the day as we went. Sometimes, kids added doodles too. Even when we were working on devices, the plan for the day was still visible on the wall. No switching tabs. No hunting for the plan. Just a quick glance up. And sometimes the brain needs paper, walls, markers, and space more than another app. If you are building a business too, try this with me. Set up one physical thing in your space that supports your work. A whiteboard. Sticky notes. A printed calendar. A visual goal board. A timer. A fidget toy. Then take a photo and share it below. Letβs bring a little of our work back into the real world together. Letβs build our classrooms for entrepreneurship. Drop your photo in the comments. π It is a good day to have a good day. PS - It's not too late to start your 12-week year! Let me know what questions you have!
